From Mines to Activewear Dreams

For two decades, our lives revolved around the mining industry, but after 20 years, Trudi and her husband Mick decided it was time for a complete career change. Inspired by Trudi’s lifelong passion for fitness, they opened their own activewear store with a clear vision: to offer high-quality, affordable activewear for every body, including a full XS–3XL size range to fill the gap she had noticed in the market. Starting with pop-up shops in 2016, they spent the first year building relationships and learning what their customers truly loved before opening their first brick-and-mortar store in Coolum Beach in 2017, followed by a presence at the Eumundi Markets. Today, Gmaxx is known for premium skorts designed for golf, tennis, lawn bowls and pickleball, alongside leggings and everyday activewear that combines comfort, movement and flattering fits. Our loyal customers, both in-store and online, continue to inspire us to keep creating activewear that helps every woman feel confident in what she wears.
